Hotel Capital (Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia)
After many researches and much deliberation, my friend and I decided to go for Hotel Capital. We booked a Standard twin room via Agoda.com and paid for about PHP 1900 a night (no breakfast). Before the day of our flight, I have emailed to inform them that we will be checking in at around 3 in the morning since we were coming from Manila on a red eye flight. The hotel assured me that there will be no problem and that the room will be ready as soon as we arrive.
We never had a hard time getting to the hotel from the airport. We did not avail the airport transfers they are offering and got a cab from the airport instead. It took us about 30 minutes from the airport to the hotel. We we welcomed by David, an absolutely helpful gentleman who assisted us all throughout our stay.

Hotel Capital is an old hotel but recently had their rooms renovated. Our room is spacious with crisp white linens, soft pillows and a decent sized single bed. The bathroom is also spacious with hot and cold shower, and bidet!
Our rooms are cleaned daily even if we don't request for it. The room we had fronts the Harbor and Suriah Sabah. It is also a 10 minute walk to Jesselton Point, 5 minute walk to Gaya Street Sunday Market, about a few minutes away from delicious food joints and convenience stores. In short, this hotel is in the perfect location!

I totally recommend Hotel Capital for Kota Kinabalu visitors. The service is superb, the hotel is spic and span even if the building is a little old, it is centrally located and most of all very affordable.
